Bryant Owens – Servant Pastor / Bible Teacher

20140517_130304I am Rhonda’s husband, Logan and Josiah’s dad. My days routinely begin with prayer and bible study with my family as we start our day together.

I currently serve as Interim Pastor at First Baptist Church, Monterey, TN.
We love serving the local church and First Baptist Church. God is good.

My role as Pastor has taken various forms since 2001. I have served our Lord in ministry to the University campus and missions overseas and finally as the Senior Pastor of a medium sized Church in Clintwood, VA. My role now as a Servant Pastor is to preach God’s word wherever needed and to serve Church leadership through counsel and prayer. God has kept me busy along with my PhD studies and I love serving His people in the most unlikely places. His Son Jesus did too.

As a bookworm and nerd, I love to read good books. It is through books that one exercises the mind and I love to work out the brain. The greatest book is of course the Bible. By studying, meditating on, and praying through scripture, the spirit and mind are directed by the Holy Spirit.

I am currently a PhD student through Faulkner University’s Great Books Honors College and am grateful for our Lord’s leading to this degree. My passion and prayer is that God will allow me to teach scripture and theology to pastors in areas of the world with little or no theological training available. My passion is for those hungry for the Word of God to hear the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

My prayer for you is that Christ would be glorified in all that you say and do today. May God richly bless you as you seek to honor Christ daily.

In HIS Grip.
